Red Rock Campers
Red Rock Bible Camp and Roseau River Bible Camp directors say they had an excellent summer.
Roseau River Director Duane Goertzen notes they weren't completely full but were still encouraged by the amount of younger campers. Red Rock Director Kim Coursey adds they were at 96% capacity and the staff served well together over the summer.
Red Rock Bible Camp Goertzen says they have programs over the winter season as well.
“Upcoming is our Fall Supper, that's October 26th. Then we have our Teen Retreat and that's in November. And then we also have our Winter Fun Day and that's February 21st. In the Spring we have our retreats. We have a man camp, last weekend of April and we have our ladies retreat first weekend in May. During that time we also have a whole bunch of renter groups that come out and there's still lots of weekends available for rentals.”
Coursey explains they have a Mother & Daughter camp January 16th to 18th and a Father & Son camp January 30th to February 1st. The remaining weekends are reserved for other camp programs as well as church and youth group retreat rentals.
Goertzen adds he's excited to see the direction God's been leading the camp and looking forward to another year of ministry. Summer 2015 will be Roseau River's 25th anniversary year and they are planning an Alumni Retreat.
Coursey and Goertzen note counsellor training starts up again at the end of June.
