Glacier National Park just broke its all-time record for annual visitors — and there are still three months left in the year.
The park in Montana welcomed 2,238,761 people in 2013 through Sept. 30, according to National Park Service spokesman Jeffrey Olson.
Glacier was on track to set a record last year, according to the Missoulian , when the government shut down, causing the park to close for two weeks in October 2013.
The previous record was set in 1983, when 2.2 million visitors came to the park.
