Emergency crews were called to a three-vehicle accident at Number Twelve Highway and Stone Bridge Crossing Monday afternoon.

Lieutenant Trevor Schellenberg reports that driver error and construction contributed to the mishap.

“I spoke with one of the drivers and he said traffic had been backed up due to construction (at Loewen Boulevard and Number Twelve Highway), and the vehicle behind him was quite close, and the vehicle that came in from the back hadn't noticed the traffic had stopped and slid into the middle vehicle, which pushed the next car into the front vehicle.”

All people involved signed refusal of treatment.

Schellenberg advises all drivers to be mindful of the many current construction projects.

“Take care on the streets and keep an eye out for construction zones.”
